Jack Cressend brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the Louisiana Knights. He has the unique combination of having played the game at the highest level, coached in college and presently working for the Los Angeles Dodgers as their National Pitching Crosschecker. Cressend, who holds a Bachelor of Science in Management from Tulane University, enjoyed an eleven year professional career on the playing field. He was originally signed by the Boston Red Sox in 1996 and went on to play five seasons in the Major Leagues with the Minnesota Twins ( 2000-2002 ) and Cleveland Indians ( 2003-2004 ). Upon retirement as a player, Cressend started the Knights program in the summer of 2007. He was quickly hired by his alma mater in 2009 and coached four seasons at Tulane University and the University of Houston. In 2013, Cressend was hired by the Tampa Bay Rays as a pitching consultant and spent two years scouting and evaluating pitchers across the country. In 2015, he was hired by the Los Angeles Dodgers as their National Pitching Crosschecker and has served in that capacity since. Jack oversees all aspects of the Knights program and is an incredible resource to the Knights players and families. Cressend is married to his wife Katy and has two children Cole ( 17 ) and Cameron (13).
