A three-year letterman at Northwest Rankin High School in Flowood, Mississippi…played catcher and outfield for the Cougars…as a junior, earned All-District and Second Team All-Metro honors…as a senior, named All-District and All-State after hitting .448 with a .593 OBP…selected to Mississippi State Games as a sophomore and junior, and selected to D.M. Howie Crossroads All-Star game as a senior…named to 2014 Mississippi team for Sunbelt Classic…played summer ball with Marucci Elite and East Coast Baseball…member of Mu Alpha Theta mathematics honor society and recipient of Wesley Scarbrough Foundation Award…also lettered two years in bowling.  Spent two years at Hinds Community College, earning the Iron Eagle Award in 2016 and the HCC Eagle Award for Male Student Athlete in 2017…named team captain in 2017…last season, hit .337 with one home run and 15 RBIs, helping Hinds to a Region 23 Championship and an appearance in the NJCAA Division 2 College World Series…played summer ball for the Newark Pilots and Pompano Beach Clippers. Played two years at Tulane University
