Knights Knation Baseball is excited to announce its launch of an affiliate location in Bradenton, Florida. Nick Susie and Nolan Neiman will serve as co-affiliate directors and lead the day-to-day operations of the program. The Florida teams will be comprised of both youth and high school teams and be known as Knights Knation Florida.
Director of Program Development, Mike Sepcich, said “a move like this for us signifies our program’s reach across the Gulf South. It is a testament to our network of coaches. We continue to be guided by our core mission and welcome the opportunity to step into Florida with two well-respected baseball guys like Nick and Nolan who already have an established program.” Sepcich added, “our network of baseball guys who aim to help players develop to reach their potential became much stronger today.”
Knights Knation President, Jack Cressend echoed those sediments. “Knights Knation reaches far and wide with relationships across the country. It is always fun when you have an opportunity to connect with like-minded baseball people. The opportunity to work with Nick Susie and Nolan Neiman in Florida is something that brings so much value to our program, our players, and further strengthens our network. We look forward to great things in the future in Florida and across our program.”
“We are thrilled to partner with Knights Knation and bring their respected program to Florida,” said Nick Susie. “In our talks with Jack Cressend, Mike Sepcich and the other Knights staff it was apparent their program is truly player driven and a great fit for baseball in the state of Florida. Nolan and I are excited for our players, families, coaches, and staff to develop a partnership with Knights Knation.”
Nick Susie has been active in the Florida youth and high school baseball community the past several years. Formerly an assistant coach at Cardinal Mooney High School and currently coaching at Parrish Community High School, Nick created and developed a youth travel program that is well-known throughout southwest Florida. He graduated from Cardinal Mooney High School (Sarasota, FL), serving as baseball team captain his final year. Following high school, Nick went on to work for Minor League Baseball as a professional umpire for four seasons, while also working in baseball operations at the same time, before having to resign his position due to an injury.
Nolan Neiman is no stranger to the baseball scene in Florida. He currently serves as the general manager at Square Up Academy (23,000 sq. ft. training facility) in Bradenton and the current head coach at Manatee High School.
Formerly, Nolan has had stints in professional baseball with the Texas Rangers (Associate Scout) and as a player (New Jersey Jackels); Head Coach in the summer collegiate Valley League and at IMG Academy; and, as a college coach at Millersville University, University of Maryland, Florida Gulf Coast University, University of Pennsylvania, and DeSales University, where he played collegiately.
The Knights’ mission is to provide its players with all the necessary resources to fully develop not only as baseball players but also as young men. Player development is the organization’s central focus to guide players to become the best version of themselves.
